Planet Youth is an approach rooted in evidence that helps promote positive social and environmental change in communities. It is a substance use prevention model that has been implemented in countries and communities across the world.
The Planet Youth Oxford Coalition will administer surveys to young people in the school and within community settings every other year to measure changes over time. The Coalition will use this local data to identify priorities, workshop solutions, and implement policies and practices that align with young people’s voices to help reduce substance use and promote wellbeing.
Throughout the month of December, local Planet Youth coalitions are surveying young people aged 14-16 who are homeschooled, attending private school or are not attending school.
The Planet Youth survey will ask students about their relationships with friends and family, sports and activities, social life, health, substance use, bullying, sleep, social media use, and stress. The goal is to understand what helps or harms young people, so we can make our community better for young people.
Youth and/or parents and guardians of youth between 14 and 16 years old who are homeschooled, attending private school or are not attending school, can learn more about the survey or complete the survey at Planet Youth Community Survey Sign-Up and Information.
