About Us
We are a dynamic group of Oxford County community members and partners from across many sectors who have a vested interest in improving the overall health and wellbeing of our young people. In Planet Youth initiatives, the coalition plays a vital role in driving community-level change.
The Planet Youth Oxford Coalition ensures that the approach is locally led, data-driven, and collaborative, to foster supportive environments for young people to thrive.
Our Vision
A community where every young person feels deeply connected, truly seen, and safely supported. Where vibrant, healthy, safe environments fuel their dreams, protect their well-being, and empower them to thrive.
Our Approach
We are coming together, believing in what is possible for our young people, and taking action to build a future where every young person feels connected, supported, seen, and safe within their community.
Planet Youth is a proven global approach for improving young peoples’ well-being and delaying or preventing substance use.
The approach is community-driven, relying on local data to inform effective solutions.
Through ongoing dialogue and strong local partnerships, we listen to young people, understand their needs, and unite diverse partnerships to build youth well-being and resilience while creating real change.
Confidentiality is highly respected and valued. All data collected is private and used to inform collective community actions.
This long-term, community-driven approach represents a wise, cost-effective investment in primary prevention and lasting social impact.
Who's involved?
Who in our community takes part?
Partners from sectors including health, education, recreation, the faith community, law enforcement, youth-serving agencies, service clubs and many others all contribute to the Planet Youth approach and a shared common goal.
Playing an equally vital role in supporting the approach are parents, caregivers and the young people in our community. Their voices, experiences and contributions are critical to successfully making changes using the approach.
What is Iceland’s role?
